Bachelors of Hotel Management is a graduate program which imparts knowledge about various skills and fundamentals of hospitality and its different sectors. Travel & Tourism one of the world’s largest economic generating sector and India being one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, there is no doubt about the fact that hotel industry plays a crucial role in the hospitality industry. Hence, there is a great demand for hotel management professionals who have studied about the hotel industry as a whole and have adequate knowledge about other essential factors such as hospitality, public relations, customer service, sales, marketing and others.
Students who are planning to pursue BHM must have good communication and organizational skills. Along with this, they should have a pleasing personality and an ability to interact with people and make them feel comfortable.
BHM course is divided into eight semesters with theory as well as practical subjects. BHM course aspirants are taught Food and Beverage preparation, Housekeeping Operations, Front Office Operations, Computer Applications, Business Communication, Accommodation Operation, Corporate Finance, Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality Laws and Research etc.
The BHM course also emphasizes on developing and enhancing personal skills of an aspirant as a good personality is a must in this career path. Apart from this, the BHM course also educates students on aspects such as hygiene, food safety as well as nutrition that are in tune with international standards.
4 Years. Three years in Campus and twice six months Internship.
